Students

When it comes to student gifts, there is strength in numbers. Your gift doesn't need to be large to make a difference. Your support combined with gifts from fellow students can have an impact.

Your gift is a vote of confidence that inspires alumni, parents and friends to give more and ignites a collective effort to ensure that current and future Catamounts will have the same unique educational experience you received during your time here.

Do you want to be more involved?

Each fall and spring semester, seniors who give back to support Western Carolina University are invited to an exclusive event with the Chancellor. Making your senior gift is a gesture of thanks to the students who came before you and a commitment to ensure that those who come after will benefit from outstanding educational opportunities. Looking for a rewarding job? The WCU Phonathon Program gathers student callers in the evenings and occasional Sundays during the fall and spring semesters with one collective goal – to connect with alumni, parents and friends. Chatty Cats share news about Western Carolina University and help raise funds to support initiatives across campus. Callers earn a good wage, learn about fundraising and gain valuable professional skills. Learn more.

The Catamount Philanthropy Council is a diverse group of select WCU students who possess strong leadership, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. This group is designed to strengthen the relationship between current students and alumni of Western Carolina University. These students work together to spread enthusiasm, energy, and help uphold traditions of WCU. The CPC serves as the student voice of the University to a variety of external and internal constituents.
