PAWS: Student Mentees

The P.A.W.S. Mentor Program (Professional Alumni Working with Students) pairs Western Carolina University alumni with current students for one-on-one career guidance. Discover how your personal communication and leadership styles can help you succeed. Expand your network before you graduate! We encourage and welcome students from all backgrounds, fields of study, and graduating years to apply!

Mentee Requirements:

• Current WCU student (Undergraduate students are prioritized for matches.)
• GPA of 2.8 or higher
• Submit entire completed application

What is the time commitment?

One of the perks of the P.A.W.S. Mentorship Program is its flexibility. We do not have a requirement for the frequency of meetings. We encourage the partnership to explore different options and determine what best fits their schedules and lifestyles. If you are having trouble scheduling meetings or getting in contact with your mentor or mentee, please contact Toni Nelson at nelsona@wcu.edu.

Application Timeline:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and mentorship terms occur twice a year during the fall and spring semesters.
