ETHEL, acclaimed adventurous string quartet + Robert Mirabal, Native American musician, instrument builder, and three-time GRAMMY® Award winner, present their next evolution of the cross-cultural concert experience at the Bardo Performing Arts Center.
With rain moving into the mountains of Western North Carolina and weather forecasters’ predictions of a soggy evening, organizers of Western Carolina University’s annual Homecoming Parade in downtown Sylva have canceled the event.
All proceeds from this annual race benefit the Mountain Area Pro Bono Health Services, which is run by WCU's students and provides pro bono physical therapy and social work services to the under-served and under-insured population of western North Carolina. Race starts at 9am on the WCU Campus.
Honoring the WCU Alumni Association award recipients in the A.K Hinds University Center Grandroom from 10am-noon. $15 per person, business attire is requested.
