COVID-19 Impact and Sobering Reminder

We are deeply saddened by the loss of UNC Asheville Officer James Hamilton, St. Augustine University President Irving Pressley McPhail, and Appalachian State University student Chad Dorrill from complications associated with COVID-19. The loss of life brings the devastating impacts of COVID-19 closer to home, and during a time when cases are on the rise in our region and throughout North Carolina.

This a sobering reminder to all members of our campus community to continue following the guidelines of the Catamounts Care campaign. 

• Wash your hands properly.
• Practice physical distancing.
• Wear face coverings.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment.
• Stay home if you are feeling sick and call your health provider to seek medical guidance.
