Catamount Club

Ways to Give

Make a Gift Online - Give Today!

Cash Gifts:

Cash and Checks are the most common type of donation.

Please make your checks payable to WCU Foundation and note Catamount Club in the memo section.

Credit Cards:

The Catamount Club accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express for pledge payments.

Endowment Gifts:

An endowment may be established in honor or memory of an individual, family or organization to provide a perpetual gift for WCU Athletics. Gifts to the endowment fund are invested and a portion of the return is used to fund scholarships each year. This gift will create an eternal legacy of your support for Western Carolina Athletics, as the principle is never spent.

For more information on endowment opportunities that provide permanent support for Catamount Athletics, please contact the Catamount Club at 828.227.3047 or catamountclub@email.wcu.edu.

Securities:

Appreciated stocks are excellent options to make a gift to the Catamount Club, as the donor may avoid capital gains taxes and still receive charitable income tax deduction. Please contact the Catamount Club at 828.227.3047 or catamountclub@email.wcu.edu for information on transferring securities to the Catamount Club.

Planned Gifts:

Planned and deferred gifts are an increasingly popular way to make a significant contribution to Catamount Athletics. Insurance policies, real estate, annuities, bequests, and trusts are among the ways to leave a legacy to Western Carolina.

For more information on how your estate gift can impact the lives of student-athletes at Western Carolina, please contact the Catamount Club at 828.227.3047 or catamountclub@email.wcu.edu.

Gift-In-Kind:

Rather than a monetary gift, the Catamount Club may accept goods and services that assist in saving expenditures to the athletic budget.

Matching Gifts:

Many companies and corporations provide matching gift programs for employee contributions.

Check out the new MATCHING GIFT SEARCH ENGINE to see if your employer matches gifts and how it can increase your gift and benefit level.
