Experience a professional big band jazz ensemble led by John Brown, Director of the Jazz Program and Associate Professor of the Practice of Music at Duke University.

Made up of top musicians, the band specializes in performances of traditional compositions from the Great American Songbook and today’s cutting-edge arrangements.

The group also performs a wide range of material covering all eras of jazz repertoire including the music and arrangements of legends including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Count Basie, Thad Jones, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman and more.

Come early and enjoy a live jazz guitarist while you explore the current exhibitions on display in the WCU Fine Art Museum, including our main gallery exhibition, Curious Terrain: WNC From the Air, which features dynamic aerial photographs of the WNC region.

The WCU Fine Art Museum is open for at least one hour before any ticketed event at Bardo Arts Center.
