Carolina Social Justice Book Club

Carolina Social Justice Book Club

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Carolina Social Justice Book Club from the WCU Belcher College!

This online community is open to anyone at WCU and beyond. It is a place for individuals to connect with each other and enjoy a selection of books that increase awareness and understanding of different social justice topics.

There is no cost to participate – you just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy.

Signing up does not commit you to anything. Simply sign-up to begin exploring the virtual book club system and engage whenever you can!

Please sign-up by January 7, 2021 to have a full two months to enjoy and engage with the first book, Trick Mirror by Jia Tolention.

Read below for further information and sign up at pbc.guru/carolinasocialjustice.

How does it work?

The book club will connect through a private online forum where people can discuss the current book and network with each other. The group will spend two months on each book, so you'll have plenty of time to read. You can sign up and learn more at pbc.guru/carolinasocialjustice.

Why should you join?

There are three main reasons we hope you'll be excited to participate in our book club:
1) Connect with like-minded members at WCU and beyond
2) Be a part of a lifelong learning community
3) Reading is good for you!

The book club will be managed by PBC Guru. PBC Guru manages professional book clubs for companies and alumnae associations and will be moderating the group to help make this program a great experience for all participants. Please email them at info@pbc.guru with any questions or visit their website at www.pbc.guru to see more of what they do.
