Experience work by graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts students from the WCU School of Art and Design.
The BFA Portfolio Exhibition gives graduating students in the WCU School of Art and Design the opportunity to share their work with the wider community. In the Spring 2024 semester, fifteen graphic design majors showcase independent projects developed during their final semester of the graphic design program. This program focuses on preparing students for multiple disciplines within contemporary design practice.

The Graphic Design program is focusses on preparing students for multiple disciplines within contemporary design practice. Promoting the development of sustainable solutions, holistic research practices and understanding the relationships among people, context, and content to advance best practices in human-centered design.

The WCU School of Art and Design BFA Program

The School of Art and Design’s Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in Studio Art is created for students who wish to hone their focus more intensively on fine art and design. Completing the BFA curriculum will prepare students for a career or post-graduate study in art, design, or related disciplines.

Program emphases allow students to explore a specific area of study while following a rigorous art curriculum. The Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design focuses on critical thinking, social research and practices, and professional production combined with a strategic relationship to cultural and historical investigation.

Reception Details
Reception for the exhibition will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 5-7 PM in BAC Gallery 130. Light refreshments and beverages will be served in BAC Gallery 130.

Bardo Arts Center Gallery 130 Hours
The Bardo Arts Center Gallery is free and open to the public to visit. Standard BAC Building Hours hours are Monday through Friday, 7 AM - 7 PM. If you have any questions, please call (828)227-ARTS.

Twelve studio art majors will share their capstone projects in the fall 2023 semester. Their art portfolios, which include paintings, sculpture, ceramics, installation art, and other mediums, explore a wide range of topics from gun violence and vulnerability to gender expectations and perceptions of disabilities.

Reception Details
Reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5-7 PM. Light refreshments and drinks will be served at BAC's Star Atrium. There will be a special presentation before the reception from 4-5 pm that will give reception attendees the opportunity to listen to students as they speak about their work. Presentation will be held in BAC Room 130.
