The Catamount Commitment

A Promise to Make College More Affordable for Every Catamount

At Western Carolina University, we believe every student deserves the chance to earn a high-quality education without being held back by cost.

The Catamount Commitment is our pledge to help make that possible — providing meaningful financial support to help you focus on your future, not your finances.

What It Is

The Catamount Commitment is a scholarship and aid program designed to make earning your degree at WCU more affordable. It’s our way of investing in you — your goals, your education, and your path forward. Qualified students receive financial support that can be combined with other scholarships or aid — helping lower the total cost of attendance and ensuring WCU remains one of the best values in higher education.
