2005 FALL CONCERT

The chorus’ successful December 11th concert was Christmas Voices and Winds, a major holiday work composed and arranged by Richard Trevarthen and James Dooley. The chorus was joined for the program by an outstanding ensemble of players from the Western Carolina University music faculty.

Christmas Voices and Winds, an extended medley of seasonal songs, hymns, and carols, is divided into four sets. Most of the selections are traditional tunes, but some original music is also included, notably the instrumental introductions and interludes, and the newly composed tunes provided for 0 Little Town of Bethlehem and I Saw Three Ships. Recordings of the performance will be edited and prepared in CD format for distribution.
