WCU Wind Ensemble - John West, music director. WCU's top instrumental ensemble performs James Sylver's The Hound of Heaven, Dwayne Milburn's American Hymn Song Suite, Julie Giroux's La Mezquita de Cordoba, and Robert Jager's Percussion Concerto, featuring WCU faculty member Mario Gaetano as soloist. (Part of the 2008 Western Regional All-District Band Festival.)

11:15am - Masterclass by Ken Shifrin (former Principal Trombone of England's City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and alto trombone historian and specialist): open coaching seesion of the WCU Trombone Ensemble

2:30pm - Recital by George Curran (recently appointed bass trombonist of the Atlanta Symphony), with pianist Andrew Adams.

6:00pm - Masterclass by George Curran.

8:00pm - Recital by Ken Shifrin, alto and tenor trombones, with pianist Robert Challinor, and guests George Curran and Dan Cherry.
