How can you join the UClub?
Begin
by simply coming to any Friday gathering! Submit your membership
application to the
Treasurer via campus mail
(2007-2009: Seán O’Connell, Department of Biology, 132 Natural
Science Building).
You may submit your first dues ($30) with your application or wait to
be
billed.
What are other membership benefits?
Members
may reserve the UClub house for special group functions such as
departmental
day-retreats, graduate student orientation, and private
social gatherings. Contact Seán O’Connell (soconnell@email.wcu.edu),
via e-mail for
reservations and further information.
What are the costs of membership?
Members
pay regular dues of $30 per semester, which go toward rent and
utilities for the
house. At Friday gatherings and most other social
events, there are charges of $1.50 for beer
(bottle or draft) and $2.00
for wine. Soft drinks and snacks are available for free. Occasional
donations to the snack fund are appreciated.
Some
special events require a modest admission charge such as $3.00,
although often bringing
a covered dish waives the admission fee.
All UClub monies are managed through a billing system
with the Treasurer. No money is
exchanged directly at the house.
