The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. 

Preparations for 2002-03 Academic Year

Members at the first meeting of the full council (9/10) will be introduced to one another. Nancy will construct a welcome letter to the membership that will be available with the agenda at the first meeting.

Revised Agenda Layout

An area near the beginning of the agenda will be designated for "open floor" discussion which will involve the introduction and discussion of issues and concerns by members of the council and their constituencies.

Reports from each of the four constituencies will be relocated near the end of the agenda.

Membership Lists

Each of the four constituencies will be contacted and asked to submit lists of their UAC delegates so that an e-mail list and name tags may be constructed before the first meeting.

As indicated above, all Executive Committee meetings will convene one week prior to UAC meetings.

Unless otherwise noted, all UAC meetings will convene in the Catamount Room of the A.K. Hinds University Center.

Chris will reserve the Catamount Room pending Nancy’s approval once finalized dates have been confirmed.

University Advisory Council Website

Tori announced that Bob Orr has offered to maintain the UAC’s website.

First University Advisory Council Meeting

Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance Chuck Wooten will be invited to attend the first meeting and discuss such issues as the budget situation and campus construction.
