The meeting was called to order at 3:30 PM.

The recommendation concerning alternate ID numbers was passed to the Chancellor and then to Dr. Franke. After review, the recommendation was put on hold at this time at least until the Banner system implementation begins

A guest speaker from ITS will come and give and update on Banner at the January meeting. If Edna Waldrop is unable to attend, Nancy will ask Dr. Franke to speak.

The Social Security Number Task Force will move forward with research into recommendation of a policy regarding this matter. A chair for this task force will be requested/named at the January meeting.

An issue concerning how the University communicates with students via e-mail was discussed.

Kathy received the report for the Leadership Committee from the student constituency recently. She will review the document and have a report on it soon.

The meeting adjourned at 4:30 PM.

The general meeting of the University Advisory Council will be on January 14, 2003 from 3:30-5:00 PM in the Catamount Room.
