Your Talent Search counselor may be able to help you with a Fee Waiver for the test and also for college applications! The SAT and ACT Tests Before registering for either the SAT or ACT, check to see if the university or college you want to attend requires either of these tests. Some schools may prefer one test over the other. Guidance Counselors prefer that you have completed Algebra 1 and Geometry before you take the test. You may need to take the test a couple of times, once near the end of your Junior year and once at the beginning of your Senior year. To register for either of these tests pick up a registration packet from your Guidance or Talent Search Counselor.  You can also register on-line at: SAT-www.collegeboard.com or ACT-www.act.org.
