Why does Talent Search do adventure activities? Good question!

Answer: It is a tool that works.

Healthy adventure has been virtually eliminated in our society. Youth in particular are looking for excitement and adventure in their lives. They will find it! Unfortunately, they often turn to less healthy forms of stimulation. Adventure doesn't have to be reckless, but, it does have to provide excitement and challenge. We have found that adventure activities both in the classroom and outdoors provide great tools for the personal growth of the students we serve.

Growth is afterall what we are trying to accomplish. Growth requires effort and often a bit of discomfort. Growth often requires that we venture beyond our comfort zones. Adventure is a great tool for growth.

Best of all, Adventure works with youth.
