Day one:

We survived the longest day ever.  We left Cullowhee at about 11pm Saturday night, drove to Atlanta, attempted to sleep in the airport atrium, and then boarded our flight at 6:30 am.  It was a sleepless night for most of us.  We finally arrived in Wolf Point, MT at around 7:30 pm and were welcome by the friendly folks at Rancho Campground (our bikes were here!!!) and a reporter from the local paper.  You'll find photos from the airport, pompey's pillar (where William Clark stopped and engraved his name in a rock), dinner in Cirlce, MT w/a dinaosaur, and various settting up camp photos from Wolf Point.  All is well and we're looking forward to getting some sleep and our first day of biking tomorrow.

The summit of Pompey's Pillar

Pompey's Pillar where William Clark scratched his name on the return trip down the Yellowstone River 1805.

Our group quietly posed and quietly moved on, never causing a stir to this fella on the bench.

Drew feeds the first of many statues along the way.

At Wolf Point, we assembled our bikes which were shipped in boxes via UPS, made camp and readied ourselves to be under way the next morning.
