Day Eight:
Sunday, July 4, 2004
The group celebrated our Nation's Birthday in Lewistown, MT.
We started things off by sleeping late followed by bacon and eggs
cooked on the picnic table. After that we went to a parade
downtown. Tonight we cooked hamburgers (on a grill that someone
gave us), potato salad, and baked beans. We are about to watch
fireworks from our campsite. Tomorrow morning we hit the road
for another 70 miles to Geraldine. It seems that Jason Murphy
has welched on his deal and the other guys in the group "can't
believe they shaved their legs for this."
