Day Eight:
July 12th-Winchester to Lewiston (40 miles)
Written by Miah Williams on July 13th: Yesterday we rode 40 miles. It wasn't as invigorating as the day before because of the 8 mile downhill instead of up. The scene for the top of the hill was breathtaking and we had to stop to take a picture. It was a gorgeous sight. We rode at a good pace and there was only one uphill which was a good thing. Our group almost missed a turn but we caught it just in time. Group one did miss the turn had to turn around. When we arrived in camp Lisa, Leigh, and Therese were turning in also. How ironic is that? We all got to swim in the Snake River and eat at the Old Country Buffet. It was good food. Yesterday when we had our meeting the passing of the alarm clock went to me. I am now the LOD (leader of the day) with the LED (alarm clock). We are about 1/4 mile away from Washington State and we can reach it by swimming.
