Day Six:

July 10: Wilderness Gateway to Kooskia on the Nee Mee Poo Reservation.

Lewis-Clark Campground, 60 miles

Today, we woke up next to the rushing Lochsa River and prepared for our longest ride yet on this leg of the trip.  We stopped at the Wilderness Gateway Ranger Station and took our time walking through the ranger village - all of the buildings have been maintained and look like they did 50 years ago.  It was a beautiful ride through the Lochsa Gorge and onto the Nez Perce Indian reservation.  We stopped for ice cream along the way - a much deserved treat!  We made good time and got to camp around 3:30.  We'll spend the evening showering (our first in 3 days!) and fueling up for tomorrow's ride.  Everyone's spirits remain high!
