Day seventeen:
July 21, 2005
From St. Helens to Gnat Creek Campground, 50 miles
Written by Isaac Rhodes:
W e are at the eve of the final day of this years trek from Missoula to Seaside. The trip has covered over 1000 miles from the starting point in St. Louis over two years ago. I havebeen a member of the corps on all three adventures. I have to say that I have enjoyed this leg more than the previous two. It is sometimes hard to put into words the feelings that we face when we finally realize that we have accomplished such a great feat. Over the last three weeks we have experienced some of the great wonders of God's glorious creation.
Written by Randy Massey:
I feel great about finishing this trip because I now know that I can ride a bike that far, and that it?s a lot easier to ride with other people. When I go home, I will have learned more about the Lewis and Clark trip. It wasn?t easy, but I feel good about doing it.
