Catamount Academic Tutoring
(CAT) Center is designed to ensure the academic success of all WCU students by offering
peer tutoring, study groups, and workshops to improve learning. The CAT Center will offer small-group tutoring for most 100 and 200-level
classes. Visit the

to schedule tutoring appointments and to find out more about workshop offerings
in areas such as Time Management, Note-Taking, Goal-Setting, and Exam Prep. The
Office of Professional Exams oversees group administrations of the PRAXIS, GRE (Subject
Tests only), LSAT, and NCE. Registration information for these tests is available
in the center or on the web site. For information about CLEP, Millers Analogies,
or Institutional SATs, call 227-3264.

The
Mathematics Tutoring Center
(MTC) provides tutoring in all lower-division mathematics classes and computer science
classes. Student peer tutors are available on a drop-in basis to provide assistance
with homework, review concepts, help with math study skills, and answer questions
about math courses. Individual, regularly scheduled tutoring appointments are available.
The Center also offers a workshop on "How to Survive a College Math Class" and "Using
Your Graphics Calculator." To make an appointment or find out more, contact Nory

Student Technology Assistance Center

The
Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC) has recently changed locations within Hunter Library
and is now located in the student computer lab. The
STAC's focus
is still on the individual learning needs of the student, but now the help is available
within the actual computer lab. If students need help using word processing programs,
spreadsheets, databases, electronic presentations, campus network tools (such as
My Cat, WebCat, FTP, etc.), or the Internet (such as web browsers and newsgroups),
they can call the Center's coordinator or stop by for an appointment. Check the
