Base Camp Cullowhee presents three new leadership programs for individuals and groups. These programs are targeted for group leaders to develop team unity and problem solving skills.
Lost and Found
Searching for the X! Lost and Found will build your group cohesion in a setting like no other in Cullowhee. Panther Town Valley is known as the Yosemite of the East, with large granite walls, waterfalls, and rare plants. It is a bowl shaped valley with distinct features that your group will use together as a team to find the X using only a compass and a map with no trail markings. Expect to spend about 6 to 8 hours, all day, using compass settings and backtracking to find the secret waterfall in this amazing valley. Price: $18 per person includes equipment, transportation, instruction & lunch.
Lost Guide
Up the river without a guide! It's up to your team to negotiate the rapids on the Nantahala River without a guide. Your group will practice first on a nearby lake then the instructors will follow you as your team works together to meet the challenge of the river. This is an all day adventure. Expect about an hour on the lake and 3 hours on the river. Price: $25 per person Includes equipment, transportation, instruction & lunch.
Build It
Spend a half day with the experienced and trained Base Camp Staff in a leadership program designed especially for your group. Spend time with icebreakers, initiatives, team building exercises, and fine-tuning your group dynamics. You tell us your goals, and we will design the program to meet those goals! Challenge your group to not just do leadership, Build it!
Cost is $7 per person for a half-day of fun.
