Assessment
in the Division of Student Affairs
Assessment Processes and Procedures
All departments and programs within the Student Affairs Division complete an annual assessment plan. At the end of fall and spring semesters, units submit summaries of assessments done in their areas. The Director of Enrollment Support reviews and maintains assessment summaries and plans. The Assessment Team, a group of Student Affairs administrators appointed by the Division leadership, reviews program improvements generated by the assessment summaries. This process allows for items that may rise to the level of division-wide priority to be included for discussion at the annual Work Session, in which the division action plan for the coming year is established. Other program improvements are implemented at the department level.

Standards
The Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS) is used as a guide for establishing student learning outcomes. Departments establish satisfaction outcomes based on the nature and type of programs offered. Some departments adhere to licensure/certification requirements and state or federal mandates in assessment of their programs and services. All assessment processes and procedures support the missions of the Student Affairs Division and the University.
