Proposal Instructions:
Each year participating Departments will submit subject areas where faculty/staff
are available to mentor students for the upcoming year. Interested students will
submit an initial proposal of work to be undertaken in one of the subject areas of
interest that addresses DSA priorities. The proposal will serve as the foundation
of the work to be completed but will not be considered the final description of the
work to be done. The final description of the project will be completed by the student
and her/his mentor. Initial proposals should be 1-2 pages in length and include the
following:
- Introduce the opportunity or area of challenge to be addressed
- Explain project approach to the opportunity or area of challenge
- Explain expected outcomes and impact of the project
