Career Services and Cooperative Education offers extensive programs aimed at preparing WCU students for future employment. You can receive assistance in obtaining campus employment, seeking co-ops and internships, critiquing résumés and cover letters, career counseling and decision making, and interviewing skills. There are also peer career advisers who provide résumé advice and teach students how to use job-search technology. The Center for Service Learning aims to promote service learning as a special form of experiential education whereby students engage in organized activities designed to enhance their understanding of course content, meet community needs, develop career-related skills, and become responsible citizens. Students can participate in service days, alternative break trips and volunteer opportunities that can enhance the college experience and help those in need. The Office of International Programs and Services can help you expand your horizons and gain international experience while earning credit toward your degree. Study abroad programs are eligible for financial aid and grants.
