Health & Wellness

Student Health Services provide the following services to students:

  • Routine wellness screenings/annual physicals
  • Annual women’s clinic visits
  • Sick visits
  • Minor surgical procedures
  • Allergy clinic
  • Immunization services
  • Screening for sexually transmitted infections
  • Laboratory services
  • Pharmacy services
  • Ambulance service (EMS)

Your student health fee covers most of the cost of these services, provided you are enrolled in at least six credit hours. You need not be enrolled in the university’s health plan to be entitled to these services. Counseling and Psychological Services are available to help any enrolled student when problems arise. Professional staff members are prepared to assist you with individual and group sessions or referrals to specialized services. These issues include grief, adjustment to college, stress, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, depression and substance abuse. If you or someone you know are in crisis, please seek help. The Campus Recreation Center is open to all students with a CatCard. You can use weights, fitness equipment, the climbing wall and indoor running track. The pool and gym also are available for recreational use, and equipment is available for checkout. Group Xercise classes are offered for just $10/semester.
