EMS Officers 2014-2015


Taner Campbell, Chief

Taner is a native of Charlotte, NC. He is currently a Junior in the Emergency Medical Care program, with a concentration in Health Management. Taner been a member of WCU Emergency Medical Services since 2012 and currently holds his EMT-B certification as well as his Wilderness (WEMT-B) certification. In his free time he likes to whitewater kayak, fish, and spend time with friends and family.

Corey Holland, Assistant Cheif

Corey Holland is a junior at WCU double majoring in Business Administration, with focuses in Management and Finance. He started with WCU EMS his freshman year as a part-timer, and served as a Sergeant during his sophomore year. He graduated from South Johnston High School in Four Oaks, North Carolina with his EMT-Basic certification earned during his senior year. In his off-time, Corey enjoys listening to music, attending church, fishing, recreational shooting, and playing with his dogs.

Dalton Barrett, Captain  

Dalton Barrett, a lifelong resident of Spring Hope, NC, graduated from Southern Nash High School in 2012. Earning his Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor in 2010. Dalton is currently in his junior year in the Emergency Medical Care Program (health management concentration) with a minor in Emergency and Disaster Management. Dalton's interests and activities include duck/turkey hunting, saltwater fishing, and grilling/cooking out. Other organizations at WCU Dalton is involved in: BBC@WCU, WCU University Participant Program, and he is also the vice-president for WCU Entourage (tour guide group).

Trent Morris, Lieutenant

Trent Morris is a junior at WCU and is WCU EMS' Lieutenant for the 2014-2015 School Year. He joined us in September 2012 and has served as a Part-Time EMT ever since. He has been in the fire service for five years and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for over two years. He is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and is also minoring in Environmental Health. His primary responsibilities include scheduling of employees, coordinating stand-by events, paperwork completion, leading those on his shifts, among others. He is eager and excited to advance his responsibilities and serve in a greater fashion for the students, staff, and visitors of WCU.

Maxwell Domalavage, Sergeant

Sergeant Max Domalavage is a sophomore at WCU majoring in Pre Hospital Emergency Care with a minor in Disaster Management. He started with WCU EMS his freshman year as a part-timer, and will be serving as sergeant during his sophomore year. He graduated from Heritage High School in Raleigh, North Carolina with his NCEMT-Basic certification which he earned during his senior year. When Max is not working or furthering his EMS knowledge Max enjoys mountain biking, swimming, camping and going to the beach with friends.

Shantea' Packett, Sergeant

Shantea' Packett is from Marion, NC. She graduated from McDowell High School in 2012. She is currently attending Western Carolina University and is majoring in emergency medical care with a concentration in health management. She possesses her NCEMT- Basic certification and has worked for WCU's emergency medical service for two years. She will serve as a sergeant for the 2014-2015 school year. In her spare time she enjoys drawing, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends.
