The Department of Student Community Ethics (DSCE) works with the University community to educate students about their rights and responsibilities as stated in the Western Carolina Creed, the Student Handbook and the Code of Student Conduct. DSCE works to help students and organizations who violate University living and learning expectations become more responsible members of the Western Carolina University Community. DSCE works with faculty and staff to ensure that the university’s expectations of scholarship and integrity are upheld.
To Report an Incident
A Community Ethics complaint can be placed against a student who has violated a university
policy found in the WCU Code of Student Conduct. Each violation is specifically outlined
with specific details of what constitutes a violation.
