Whee Enlighten, Manifest and Provide for Outstanding Women and Encourage them to Rise

The Whee E.M.P.O.W.E.R. Mentoring Program aims to assist female first-year students in Secrets of Powerful Women LLC (Living Learning Community) with their transition to college, introduce them to ideals founded in women’s issues and leadership, and supplement the themes of the Secrets of Powerful Women class.  Topics that will be introduced in the mentoring program will focus on: their transition to college, building networks of support, women’s issues, and campus services.  

Components of the program include:
• A college orientation and leadership course for entering freshmen: LEAD 151: Secrets of Powerful Women
• Peer-to-peer mentoring
• Community building and networking opportunities
• Participation in the G.L.O.W. workshop series
