Your time at Western Carolina University will likely parallel a significant period of transition in your life. Although transitions can be desired and exciting, they also require change and adjustment, which sometimes can be difficult. The staff of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) can assist you to effectively manage those difficulties and successfully meet the challenges you may face while attending Western.

The staff of Counseling Services are all trained to address a wide range of presenting concerns and consist of licensed mental health professionals, supervised doctoral and graduate interns in counseling, psychology, or social work programs, an office manager, a consulting family nurse practitioner, and an Administrative Assistant.
