One quarter of Americans say they’ve been in a situation where someone needed CPR. If you were one of them, would you know what to do?
What is hands-only CPR?
Hands-only CPR is a potentially lifesaving technique involving no mouth to mouth contact.
It is best used in emergencies where someone has seen another person suddenly collapse.
The hands-only technique increases the likelihood of surviving cardiac emergencies
that occur outside medical settings (from American Red Cross; www.redcross.org).
There are no scheduled Hands-Only CPR classes for Spring 2013. If you are interested in getting this training, or have a group interested, please contact Sandy Terhune at slterhune@wcu.edu. Hands-Only CPR classes are FREE and only 30 minutes!
