TAILGATING PERMITS FOR ALCOHOL PERMISSIBLE STUDENT AREA
A current WCU student, faculty or staff member may obtain one non-transferable tailgating permit for a tailgating area within the designated alcohol permissible student tailgating lot. Tailgating permits may be obtained from the University Center prior to each football game. The number of parking spaces designated as a permitted tailgating area will be determined before each football season. All tailgating activities must be contained within the permitted tailgating area. Tailgating permit holders may be held responsible for the behavior and actions of guests in the permit area. Only one vehicle will be allowed to park in each permitted alcohol permissible student tailgating area and some types of vehicles may be prohibited (i.e, buses, RVs, etc.) by tailgating procedures. Permits must be displayed as specified on vehicles throughout the tailgating activities and an individual must be designated as the responsible contact person for each game. Tailgating permits may be forfeited for cause on-the-spot.
Current WCU students, faculty, and staff who wish to tailgate in the Student Alcohol Permitted Fieldhouse lot must fill out and submit an application for approval to the University Center. Anyone is welcome to visit students in this lot. Applications must be filled out in person. Space availability is first come / first serve.

Permits for the first game on August 30, 2012, vs. Mars Hill will be available Friday, August 24, at 9:00am at the Information Desk on the 2nd floor of the A.K. Hinds University Center. Season permits will also be available at this time.REGISTERED STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS-

Tailgating for the first home game will be held on the intramural field. To access the tailgating area, please enter through the Cordelia Camp parking lot and drive towards the gym. There will be guides directing traffic to the tailgate area; please follow their instructions. Please view this map for specific directions.
During the first game, you are allowed to tailgate until the end of the game; however, please remember that you are only allowed to consume alcohol up until kick-off. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE MOVED FROM THE INTRAMURAL FIELD WITHIN ONE HOUR OF THE END OF THE GAME. Vehicles remaining one hour after the end of the game will be towed at owner expense.
STUDENT TAILGATE PERMIT COSTS:
***There is no charge for tailgating permits.***
*Single-game permits may be obtained the Monday before the home game at 9:00am and will stop being sold that Friday at 12:00pm. Permits cannot be obtained in advance of one week for each game, with the exception of the first home game. Season permits can be obtained before the first home again and then again beginning September 17 at 9:00am with Kim Corelli.
