29th Annual Tuckasegee River Clean Up

Come out Saturday April 20th and help clean up one of Jackson County’s largest natural
resources! Each year the Tuck River Cleanup is the Nation's LARGEST single day river
cleanup. 600-900 volunteers converge to clean 27 miles of river and anuually remove
3-5 tons of garbage!
Register at the UC lawn by the clock tower at WCU. The first 500 participants receive a free t-shirt. Base Camp Cullowhee will provide participants with a paddle, personal flotation device, trash bags, raft, and transportation to/from the river. All you have to do is show up - float the river - pick up trash!
After a fun afternoon of doing a good deed we will transport you back to the UC lawn in Cullowhee to enjoy a FREE cookout and thank-you festival for all participants, including live music and inflatable yard toys for kids of all ages. We will also have a drawing for door prizes donated by local businesses.
