Cullowhee Rock and Rumble Fest - Collegiate Climbing Series Bouldering Competition

Base Camp Cullowhee in partnership with the WCU climbing team is hosting its 5th annual Rock and Rumble Fest bouldering competition . Compete in one of 4 categories: Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced and Open for both Men and Women. This competition is part of the Appalachian Region of the Collegiate Climbing Series. Students from any college or university are welcome and do not need to be CCS members.

Cost:
$25 Early Bird sign up by March 1st
$35 Day of Event

Schedule:
Day of Registration: 9:00-10:00am
Rules:  10:00-10:30am
Heat 1 (Yellow Heat):  10:30am-1:30pm
Rules: 1:30pm-1:45pm
Heat 2 (Blue Heat): 1:45pm-4:45pm
Awards and Prizes: 5:15pm-6:00pm

Recreational Male: V0 to V2-
Recreational Female: V0 to V2-
Intermediate Male: V2 to V4-
Intermediate Female: V2 to V4-
Advanced Male: V4 to V6
Advanced Female: V4 to V6
Open Male: V7 and up
Open Female: V7 and up

Pre-Registration:
To pre-register, call the Base Camp Cullowhee front desk (828-227-3633) between the hours of 11am-5pm, Monday thru Friday. Be prepared to give your Name, Category, College, and Credit Card Number. At the event, look for the "Pre-Registered" line at registration.

Competition Rules and Format:
The Cullowhee Rock and Rumble Fest follows a traditional red point bouldering format.  Points are awarded for successful sends, with deductions based on the number of falls.  The top five problems determine the final score.
