Summer Academy, July 2005
Dr. John Habel, SoTL at WCU Coordinator, attended the Carnegie Academy for SoTL's annual Summer Academy Campus Program that was held this year in Utah. Attendance at the Academy was part of WCU’s membership in the Carnegie Academy's Campus Program.

Welcome Luncheon for Faculty
The Welcome Luncheon for all faculty was held on August 22, 2005, in the UC Grandroom. It was the Fall semester kickoff event for SoTL at WCU.

MountainRise
Submission for the Fall/Winter 2006 issues of MountainRise are due by October 15, 2005. MountainRise is an international, peer-reviewed, SoTL journal at http://mountainrise.wcu.edu/.

Summer Institute, 2005
The 3rd annual Summer Institute for Teaching & Learning was held on campus May 16–19, 2005, with 57 faculty participants. SITL 2006 will be held May 15-18.

SoTL Faire
The inaugural Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Faire was held on Feburary 23, 2005 from 9 am – 4 pm in the University Center and other campus locations. See http://www.wcu.edu/facctr/sotlfaire/index.htm.
