The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning at Western Carolina University - Summer Institute 2004 - Participants

There were 47 faculty participants, including faculty serving as facilitators for the five Focus Teams. Dr. John Habel, with help from the facilitators, helped the organizing and planning and Debra Randleman was the key person in completing the many details and tasks needed, along with the help of Jane Kneller, student workers and a summer student intern. Dr. Newt Smith, Chair of the Faculty, gave the welcoming address.

Besides the actual work done at the Institute, each faculty participant makes a commitment to apply what was learned at the Institute to one or more of her or his classes, and to share that learning with WCU colleagues in one of a variety of ways.
