In addition to developing course materials to use next year,
faculty were asked to participate in the full three days of
the Institute, to engage in follow-up activities with the
members of their Focus Teams, to apply what is learned to
one or more courses and to share in some way (article for
MountainRise, presentation at the annual Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Faire, a Faculty Series presentation, create
a focus group web page etc.) the outcomes of using the strategies
/ concepts in classes with the WCU academic community. Each
Team can determine the it schedule for meetings, work and
dissemination of results. Institute Focus Teams also have
the opportunity to consider becoming year-long Faculty Learning
Communities.
