WESTERN TO OFFER ENGINEERING TECH
DEGREE COMPLETION PROGRAM

CULLOWHEE -- Western Carolina University is accepting applications for the bachelor of science degree completion program in engineering technology for fall semester 2003 in the Hickory and Marion areas.

Two information sessions for the program will be held Tuesday, April 29. One session will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Room WW 101 in the Administrative Building on the campus of Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.
Another session will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Board of Trustees Conference Room, Building 17, on the campus of McDowell Technical Community College in Marion.

The program enables individuals who are employed in manufacturing and related technical occupations to pursue the bachelor’s degree through a combination of weekend and/or evening study. Instruction will be a combination of classroom and online study.

Applicants must have completed a two-year associate’s degree in a technical discipline. Typically, a student can complete the bachelor’s degree in four years of part-time study.
