FIVE WOMEN, FIVE MEN SELECTED
TO WCU '04 HOMECOMING COURT

CULLOWHEE Students at Western Carolina University have selected five women and five men for the 2004 Homecoming Court, with a final campuswide election to determine the queen and king.

Announcement of the winners will take place Saturday, Oct. 23, as part of halftime activities at Western's football game against the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Seeking the title of queen:

Bennefield Lee Morgan

Brittany Merrill Bennefield of Arden, a senior majoring in public relations, sponsored by Theta Xi fraternity. A 2001 graduate of Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., Bennefield is the daughter of Mike and Pat Bennefield.

Erin Elizabeth Lee of Greensboro, a senior majoring in marketing, sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta sorority. A 2001 graduate of Grimsley High School, Lee is the daughter of Douglas Lee and Lizabeth Marnock.

Lindsay Kathryn Morgan of Greensboro, a senior majoring in sociology, sponsored by Phi Mu sorority. A 2000 graduate of Page High School, Morgan is the daughter of Larry and Kathryn Morgan.

Ashleigh Nicole Mullikin of Hamptonville, a senior majoring in marketing and management, sponsored by friends. A 2001 graduate of Starmount High School, Mullikin is the daughter of Roger Mullikin and Piper White.

Kelly Jean Taylor of Merry Hill, a junior majoring in hospitality and tourism, sponsored by Alpha Chi Omega sorority.  A 2002 graduate of Lawrence Academy, Taylor is the daughter of Jesse and Hope Taylor.

Justin Sean Davis of Salisbury, a senior majoring in theatre, sponsored by Phi Beta Sigma fraternity. A 2000 graduate of West Rowan High School, Davis is the son of Benjamin and Suzette Davis.

James Gregory of Shelby, a sophomore majoring in elementary education, sponsored by Project CARE. A 2003 graduate of Shelby High School, Gregory is the son of Harry and Lucinda Gregory.

David Michael Grimball of Columbia, S.C., a senior majoring in physical education, sponsored by the Organization of Ebony Students and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. A 2001 graduate of Richland Northeast High School, Grimball is the son of Gilbert and Bridgette Grimball.

Brian Christopher Leake of Roanoke Rapids, a senior majoring in sport management, sponsored by Kappa Sigma fraternity. A 2000 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School, Leake is the son of Russell and Joyce Leake.

Jacob Neil Setzer of Hayesville, a junior majoring in mathematics education, sponsored by Alpha Chi Omega sorority. A 1999 graduate of Hayesville High School, Setzer is the son of Allen and Leslie Setzer.
