INDUCTS NEW STUDENT MEMBERS AT WESTERN

New members of Western's chapter of Sigma Lambda Chi, an international construction honor society.

CULLOWHEE Sigma Lambda Chi, the international construction honor society that was chartered in Western Carolina University's Kimmel School of Construction Management, Engineering and Technology last year, recently inducted 11 new student members and one honorary member.

Sigma Lambda Chi chapters may be established at a school, college or university that has a major discipline of education in construction. A student must be at least a junior and be in the upper 20 percent of his or her class to be installed by a chapter.

Newly installed student members are Brian Gallagher, John Thompson, Matthew Landing, Samuel Long, Julia Tew, Kristopher Bryson, Carl Slagle, Brandon Blevins, Josh Day, Michele Herron, and Derrick Morgan.

Christine Beaudoin from Gibert Southern Corp. and chairperson of the Construction Industry Council for the construction management program at Western, is the newly installed honorary member.
