WESTERN'S CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
GRANTED CANDIDATE STATUS FOR ACCREDITATION
CULLOWHEE – The American Council for Construction Education recently granted candidate status, pending a full self-evaluation study, to Western Carolina University's construction management program.
The program was selected for the ACCE accreditation process based on a favorable recommendation by the council's screening committee after review of Western's application.
The ACCE Board of Trustees requires that a mentor be assigned to each program admitted to candidate status and will be working with Bradford Sims, head of Western's construction management program, in assigning a mentor for the university.
An institution is allowed to remain in candidate status up to five years.
For more information, contact Sims, at (828) 227-2175 or via e-mail at bsims@wcu.edu .
