PROVOST PROVIDES FORUM FOR DIALOGUE

CULLOWHEE - Western Carolina University Provost Kyle Carter is holding an Academic Forum on Tuesday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. in the Grandroom of the A. K. Hinds University Center. The Forum is open to all members of Western's community.

Dr. Carter is scheduled to make a 15- to 20-minute presentation on the “Challenges and Opportunities of a Growing Campus” and then open the floor for questions.  The “town hall” event is designed to raise awareness about the events or issues that affect the university and to make it possible for people within the university to raise questions and talk about their concerns.

“Perhaps the greatest value of the Forum is not the specific topics addressed but the ability of the university to come together and express opinions freely.  My hope is that the event will help strengthen a sense of community, one in which individuals see their larger responsibility to the welfare of the university,” Dr. Carter said.
