TUTORING CENTER, EXAMS OFFICE LAUNCH WEB SITE

CULLOWHEE - Western's Catamount Academic Tutoring (CAT) Center and Office of Professional Examinations recently launched a new combined Web site. The site provides tutoring, workshop and academic information to Western students and faculty and supplies the WNC region with registration information for professional examinations including Praxis, GRE and LSAT.

“I'm delighted that all of the important examination services offered at Western are now housed under one roof,” said Director Chesney Reich. “The Office of Professional Exams serves as a National Testing Site for seven different exams, offers 16 national test dates, and administers these tests to over 900 students and individuals from the region each year.”

In addition to the national testing designations, the office also has assumed responsibility for individual exam administrations of the Miller Analogies, CLEP (College-Level Examination Program), and Institutional SAT programs. The office anticipates administering approximately 80 of these individual exams per year.
