The Chancellor's trophy is a traveling Trophy. Each band that wins Grand Champion has their school and year etched on the brass plates and then gets to take the trophy home with them to display until the next year. The Grand Champions will have the Chancellor's Trophy delivered to their school by WCU representatives. They are automatically invited back to the Tournament of Champions where they will return the Chancellor's Trophy into competition. The Grand Champion trophy is theirs to keep along with any other trophies they win.
