1115 06-03955 Theft off Campus Report

     Officers assisted a student regarding a theft from his off campus
apartment. Jackson County deputies are investigating the incident.

 

1504 06-03957 Domestic Buchanan Report

     Officers responded to Buchanan Hall involving a male student and a
female student involved in a dispute. No charges were filed and both
students went to their own rooms.

 

1545 06-03958 Warrant Service Benton Arrest

     Officers served a student with three felony warrants from Georgia
then transported him to the Jackson County Magistrate where he was
placed under $125,000.00 bond unless he waves extradition to Ga.

 

1845 06-03960 Harassment Scott Report

     A male student reported receiving harassment from a female
non-student. He will call the police if any more problems arise.

 

2005 06-03961 Fire Alarm Norton Report

     Officers responding to a fire alarm at Norton Hall found it was a
fire drill.

 

2150 06-03963 Traffic Violation Centennial/HFR Citation

     Officers issued a male student a state citation for speeding 38 in
a 20 mph zone.

 

2230 06-03964 Traffic Violation Scott Citation

     Officers issued a female student a state citation for parking in a
fire lane at Scott Hall.

 

2147 06-03965 Fire Alarm Buchanan Report

     Officers responding to a fire alarm at Buchanan Hall found it was a
fire drill.

1137 06-03969 Fire Alarm FPAC Report

     Officers responding to a fire alarm at the Fine and Performing Arts
Center found it was activated by students ironing costumes.

 

2220 06-03976 Traffic Violation Fieldhouse Lot Citation

     A student received a state citation for speeding 39 in a 20 mph
zone.

 

2318 06-03979 Assist EMS Walker Report

     Officers assisted EMS with a student regarding possible alcohol
overdose. The student was transported to Harris Hospital for
observation.

 

2352 06-03980 Fireworks Scott Report

     Officers observed fireworks being thrown from a 4th floor window in
Scott towards students who were sitting in the smoking area. Officers
searched but did not find anyone.

0300 06-03983 Weapons/Alcohol Violation Harrill
Arrest/Referral

     A student received a UJC referral and a state citation for underage
possession of alcohol and Illegal knives at Harrill Hall.

 

0358 06-03985 Drug Violation Track Arrest

     While investigating a suspicious person a non-student male was
arrested for possession of marijuana and a schedule IV controlled
substance.

 

0727 06-03986 Alcohol Violation Harrill Referral

     A student at Harrill Hall received a UJC for underage possession
and consumption of alcohol, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia,
and disruptive behavior.

 

1411 06-03992 Fire Alarm Stillwell Report

     Officers responded to a fire alarm at Stillwell. No problem was
located.

 

1300 06-03994 Larceny/Fraud UC Report

     Officers are assisting in an investigation where a stolen credit
card was used on campus.

 

1749 06-03995 Fire Alarm Central Hall Report

     Two fire alarms were received approx. 10 minutes apart for Central
Hall. Both were caused by Facilities Management working on the system.

 

2350 06-04007 ROD & Violation Fieldhouse Lot 1 Arrest- 6
Referrals

     While checking a suspicious vehicle a non student was arrested for
resist/obstruct & delay an officer and for possession of marijuana and
paraphernalia. Two students received UJC's for flee police on foot and
underage consumption of alcohol; one student received a UJC for flee the
police and aid & abet underage alcohol consumption; and three students
received UJC's for underage possession /consumption of alcohol (did not
flee the police).

0051 06-04008 Assist EMS Scott Hall Referral

     Officers assisted EMS with a possible alcohol overdose. The
student was not transported by EMS and received a UJC for underage
alcohol consumption.

 

0123 06-04010 Alcohol Violation Lower Helder Lot 2
Referrals

     Officers received a report of a suspicious incident in the lower
Helder Lot and two students received UJC's for underage alcohol
consumption.

 

0126 06-04011 Assist EMS Scott Hall Report

     Officers assisted EMS with a possible alcohol overdose involving a
non-student in Scott Hall. EMS advised no transport was needed and he
was allowed to stay with the friend he was visiting.

 

0623 06-04015 Alarm Centennial Drive Report

     Officers checked a report of an alarm at the cash points on
Centennial Drive. No problem was located.

 

1410 06-04022 Trespassing Scott Hall Report

     Officers received a report of a banned person in front of Scott
Hall. The subject was not located.

 

1823 06-04024 Assist Deputies Leatherwood Report

     Officers assisted deputies by locating the motorcycle and rider on
campus that the county had been looking for regarding traffic violations
on Hwy 107.

 

1820 06-04026 Domestic Track Referral

     Officers observed what they believed to be a domestic situation
between a male and female student near the Track. The female advised
she was ok but male was issued a UJC for resist, obstruct and delay an
officer.

 

1957 06-04027 Alcohol Violations Leatherwood 5 Referrals

     Officers issued one student a UJC for underage
possession/consumption of alcohol and hosting a beer-pong party in his
room at Leatherwood. Four other students received UJC's for
participating in a drinking game and underage consumption of alcohol.

 

2015 06-04030 Drug Violation Scott Hall 2 Referrals

     Officers responded to a suspicious odor call issued two student
UJC's for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

0010 06-04034 Disturbance Village Assist/Referral

     Officers responded to an intoxicated female in the creek at the
Village. The female was transported to Jackson Detention Center for an
assist until sober and received a UJC for underage consumption of
alcohol.

 

0239 06-04039 Locate Student Village Report

     Officers assisted a student locate a roommate who had lost her
purse. Roommate and purse found in the Village.

 

0240 06-04040 Assist Deputies Presbyterian Church Report

     Students were having a large party off campus next to the
Presbyterian Church and officers assisted the Deputies check subjects
who where on church property.

 

0420 06-04043 Distraught Student Benton Hall Referral

     Officers assisted a distraught student at Benton Hall making sure
he received all assistance available.

 

2028 06-04050 Assist EMS Reid Gym Report

     Officers assisted EMS with a female student with chest pains at
Reid Gym. The student was transported to Harris Regional Hospital by
WestCare.

 

2150 06-04051 Drug Violation Leatherwood Hall Report

     Officers investigated suspicious odor and possible drug violations
at Leatherwood Hall.

 

2111 06-04052 Vandalism Fieldhouse Lot Report

     Officers responding to reported vandalism to a Jeep in the
Fieldhouse lot believe the two flat tires were caused by damage received
during 4 wheeling the day before.

 

0016 06-04053 Assist EMS Helder Hall Repot

     Officers assisted EMS with a unconscious female in Helder Hall.
The student was transported to Harris Regional Hospital by WestCare.
