1430 Assist LEA Off Campus
Report
Jackson County authorities requested University Police
to check a report of a gun being fired at an off campus
fraternity house. Officers were unable to locate anyone.
1730 Dispute Campus
Report
Officers were dispatched to the commercial parking area
on Centennial Drive in reference to a fight. Officers found
two male students arguing over money. There was no fight.
1913 Speeding Village
Citation
Officers cited a motorcyclist for 48 MPH in a 20 MPH zone.
1915 Failure to Yield Traffic Circle
Citation
Officers cited a driver for failure to yield in the traffic
circle.
2151 Unsafe Movement Scott Hall Lot Citation
Officers cited a driver for an unsafe movement from the
Scott Hall lot into oncoming traffic.
2308 Larceny Field House Lot Report
A male student will be referred to Judicial Affairs for
removing
a sign from the fence and putting it in front of another
vehicle.
The student said he removed the sign so he would have a
place
to park. The sign was recovered.
2355 Weapons Violations Harrill Lot Charges
Pending
Officers on foot patrol noticed a vehicle with no
registration. When
officers put a citation on the windshield they saw weapons
inside
the vehicle. The vehicle was towed. During an inventory
search
officers located a sawed off shotgun, a semi automatic
handgun,
knives (12 inches long or longer) and other items. The owner
of
the vehicle (a non-student) told officers he was staying
with his
girlfriend (a student) on campus.
