Biography:
Dr. McRae, who received her Ph.D. at the University of Georgia, is revising her dissertation titled "Politics and Power: White Southern Conservative Women in the Age of Jim Crow." She has published articles in the Georgia Historical Quarterly, Carologue, and the North Carolina Historical Review. Her research interests center on the intersection of race, gender, and politics in the modern South. She holds a "G" Level teaching certificate from North Carolina.
