Welcome! Children and adults of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to visit the Fine Art Museum. Please follow these standard museum guidelines to help make your visit an enjoyable experience. Attentive care for valuable works of art on view is our number one priority.

Museum Etiquette

Children under twelve (12) years of age must be accompanied by an adult; children six (6) years old and under must remain in hand with parents or adults.

Stay at least an arm's length away from the works of art and display shelves. And remember to NEVER touch paintings, sculpture, or any other work of art!

Talk quietly in order not to disturb other visitors. You may always of course ask questions of the museum staff.

The work in the Museum is fragile, please refrain from touching work, or display shelves.

Do not lean on display cases with notebooks or laptops.

Do not bring backpacks, portfolios, or instrument cases into the Museum. You may leave these items with the Museum Attendant while you visit the museum.

Do not bring drinks, coffee mugs, or food into the museum. You may leave these items with the Museum Attendant while you visit the museum.

No photography or video in the Museum is allowed.

Use of cell phones and personal electronics, such as an iPod, walkman, etc are not allowed in the Museum.

Shoes and shirt required at all times in the Museum.

Sketching and note taking is encouraged in the museum with PENCIL ONLY. No pens, markers, charcoal, paint, etc. is allowed in the Museum.

Photography Policy

Due to copyright restrictions, photography of Fine Art Museum temporary loan exhibitions is not permitted.

Still photography and digital capture of objects in the permanent collection, taken in existing light with a hand-held camera, is permitted for personal, non-commercial use only.

The use of tripods, flashes, and video cameras is prohibited. Photography is not permitted in galleries containing special exhibitions. Photographs taken in the museum may not be sold, reproduced or distributed without written permission from the museum.

Museum Space Use

The Museum atriums are available for limited use by outside group events. Outside group events cannot be scheduled during Museum operating hours, receptions, or during any special events.
