Appalachian Folklife Series
A
partnership with Philip E. "Ted" Coyle, associate professor of anthropology and director of Western's Ethnography Laboratory. The series' hour-long presentations relating to mountain people are held in the Mountain Heritage Center Auditorium or at other campus locations.

Appalachian Cultural Lunchtime Series
A
partnership with Ron Rash, Parris Professor of Appalachian Studies. This midday series is designed to include a 30-minute talk or performance followed by an opportunity to meet with the presenter. The venue is the Mountain Heritage Center Auditorium.

Cherokee Culture Series
A
partnership with Tom Hatley, Sequoyah Distinguished Professor in Cherokee Studies. Funded in part by the Cherokee Preservation Foundation, this series includes lectures, demonstrations, and shows on issues relating to Native American culture. The venue is the Mountain Heritage Center Auditorium or other campus locations.
